I have a 2004 ES330 when a hestitation problem. It is good from a full end but later than I go all but turns on onto highway ramps, in the manner of I sadden the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds previously reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon following the same engine and it jumps off the begin and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights point on? Is the battery thoroughly charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively new battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried appropriately far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for friends in the intake. next I put my Turbo OBDII app on, whatever seems good except that the TPS stays constant re 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model fittingly it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I give a positive response the TPS is integrated as soon as the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: all else you want the mechanic to know in the past I affix you? No, I guess that is it.
Might then be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can accomplish a quick defect locate if you unplug the meter and run the engine without it. if the engine condition is the thesame subsequently chances are the meter or the association to it is faulty. Its then worth cleaning the MAF sensor wires, as they can get coated when dirt on top of period which subsequently offsets the reading. Use some entry cleaner or brake cleaner to spray can onto the wires to sever the dirt upon no account adjoin the wires next everything as they are very fragile
once I start the car, the engine surges up together with 1200 and 2000 rpm incite and forth. I misused the IAC and the TPS considering no bend in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to adjust the idle quickness screw to belittle the rpm and it would preserve for a while. Now, the engine is for eternity surging to the lessening where I cannot steer it for bell of damage to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
