I have a 2004 ES330 following a hestitation problem. It is good from a full stop but considering I go just about turns on onto highway ramps, bearing in mind I afflict the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds past reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon when the thesame engine and it jumps off the start and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights outlook on? Is the battery adequately charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively supplementary battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried hence far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for friends in the intake. with I put my Turbo OBDII app on, everything seems good except that the TPS stays constant as regards 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model appropriately it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I admit the TPS is integrated in the manner of the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: whatever else you desire the mechanic to know in the past I border you? No, I guess that is it.
Might with be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can get a quick aberration find if you unplug the meter and manage the engine without it. if the engine condition is the thesame then chances are the meter or the attachment to it is faulty. Its along with worth cleaning the MAF sensor wires, as they can acquire coated behind dirt beyond times which next offsets the reading. Use some admission cleaner or brake cleaner to spray can onto the wires to remove the dirt on no account be next to the wires in the same way as everything as they are completely fragile
next I start the car, the engine surges occurring amid 1200 and 2000 rpm support and forth. I distorted the IAC and the TPS in the manner of no fiddle with in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this thesame issue. Prior to this I would have to acclimatize the idle keenness screw to demean the rpm and it would support for a while. Now, the engine is continually surging to the point where I cannot steer it for apprehension of broken to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
