Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super market car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge suffering that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 swing used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. put up to to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common trouble taking into consideration this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS obsession to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all similar parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every era I assume it realize the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are truly adding together up. I m hesitant to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started hastily after I got it home.Any new back you can present is appreciated. I don't know what else to accomplish but assume it back up to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman involved upon it at the dealer, but I still setting its pushed to the help as its outdated and everyone loses in this situation.
Hello the TPS does have an effect on switching the car into idle mode in view of that I'd recommend to create sure the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly high and dry taking into account carbon. and then acclimatize the TPS correspondingly that the IDL pin is continuous to the E2 fasten as soon as the throttle is closed, and way in circuit bearing in mind the throttle is just cracked. Don't distress about any voltages, the IDL way in is the really important one.
