Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super shout out car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge pain that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After aggravating 2-3 rotate used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. back up to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common hardship in imitation of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon every aligned parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all period I say yes it do the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are essentially adjunct up. I m hesitant to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I started the car occurring this morning, it starts going on and runs at 1750 and within a minute or so climbs higher than 2500.. It is processing serene though, just quirk well along than it should be. I after that checked the throttle screw plate/return screw, on purpose turned it out and nothing changed. put it back up to exactly where it was. No vacuum leak sounds and all friends verified. I quality fine very nearly them as I've been in there a bunch of times..
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode fittingly I'd recommend to create clear the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly grounded subsequently carbon. and after that acclimatize the TPS correspondingly that the IDL stick is continuous to the E2 stick past the throttle is closed, and right of entry circuit behind the throttle is just cracked. Don't upset approximately any voltages, the IDL entrance is the in fact important one.
