I have a 2004 ES330 following a hestitation problem. It is fine from a full stop but next I go roughly speaking turns upon onto highway ramps, as soon as I sadden the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds before reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon gone the thesame engine and it jumps off the start and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights aim on? Is the battery sufficiently charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively extra battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried in view of that far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for connections in the intake. as soon as I put my Turbo OBDII app on, anything seems fine except that the TPS stays constant approximately 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model thus it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I agree to the TPS is integrated gone the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: all else you desire the mechanic to know in the past I border you? No, I guess that is it.
Might then be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can accomplish a quick defect locate if you unplug the meter and direct the engine without it. if the engine condition is the same then chances are the meter or the relationship to it is faulty. Its also worth cleaning the MAF sensor wires, as they can acquire coated in the manner of dirt beyond mature which later offsets the reading. Use some retrieve cleaner or brake cleaner to vaporizer onto the wires to sever the dirt on no account touch the wires later all as they are no question fragile
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. bearing in mind the MAF is plugged in then the car will stall unless I put my foot on the accelerator. There is as well as an intermittent popping hermetic coming at idle.
