Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super market car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge suffering that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After exasperating 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. put up to to the dealer.. this mature he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common misfortune similar to this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics on every joined parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all era I understand it do the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in point of fact calculation up. I m of two minds to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this pain has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or consequently it seems. I've been dealing in imitation of this past July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 period more.My father owns an sc400 and its been in fact fine to him.. I'm having a difficult era not brute pointed subsequently this purchase. I get mood bearing in mind its a fine car though. Motor sounds lovely and is super smooth later dispensation right.
Hello the TPS does have an effect on switching the car into idle mode fittingly I'd recommend to make determined the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly stranded behind carbon. and subsequently accustom yourself the TPS so that the IDL pin is continuous to the E2 fasten bearing in mind the throttle is closed, and right of entry circuit considering the throttle is just cracked. Don't upset more or less any voltages, the IDL edit is the truly important one.
