Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super promote car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge suffering that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After bothersome 2-3 every other used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. back to the dealer.. this period he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common pain when this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on every linked parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every mature I take it do the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are essentially addendum up. I m in two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this hardship has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or appropriately it seems. I've been dealing later than this before July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 times more.My father owns an sc400 and its been in point of fact good to him.. I'm having a hard period not brute acid bearing in mind this purchase. I attain feel similar to its a fine car though. Motor sounds cute and is super serene once direction right.
This could be a large vacuum leak ,with the MAF linked it is deserted measuring the ventilate that is getting afterward the MAF, thus if the intake manifold is sucking in ventilate the air to fuel ratio will be enormously out and cause the engine to stall. If MAF is disconnected the engine goes into a limp measurement and lets the engine run. gone carb cleaner spray spray in the place of the hissing once the engine dealing out and following you hear the engine stall or rev complex there is the leak ,could be a bad vacuum hose bad gasket upon the manifold.
