Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make public car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge hardship that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After a pain 2-3 substitute used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. encourage to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common hardship in the manner of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on every partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all period I put up with it realize the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are essentially additive up. I m of two minds to lie alongside the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started sharply after I got it home.Any further assist you can give is appreciated. I don't know what else to complete but receive it support to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman energetic upon it at the dealer, but I yet atmosphere its pushed to the encourage as its out of date and everyone loses in this situation.
bearing in mind I start the car, the engine surges taking place amongst 1200 and 2000 rpm put up to and forth. I misrepresented the IAC and the TPS next no correct in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to accustom yourself the idle enthusiasm screw to degrade the rpm and it would preserve for a while. Now, the engine is permanently surging to the reduction where I cannot drive it for apprehension of broken to the drive train. Any experienced solution?
