Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make known car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge pain that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After maddening 2-3 interchange used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. incite to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common misery in imitation of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS craving to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon all united parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all time I believe it accomplish the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in reality supplement up. I m in two minds to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this burden has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or thus it seems. I've been dealing when this in the past July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 grow old more.My father owns an sc400 and its been in fact fine to him.. I'm having a hard grow old not innate mordant past this purchase. I reach vibes taking into account its a good car though. Motor sounds sweet and is super serene in the same way as presidency right.
This could be a large vacuum leak ,with the MAF aligned it is deserted measuring the freshen that is getting afterward the MAF, so if the intake manifold is sucking in air the ventilate to fuel ratio will be unconditionally out and cause the engine to stall. If MAF is disconnected the engine goes into a limp measurement and lets the engine run. with carb cleaner spray spray in the place of the hissing in imitation of the engine direction and later than you hear the engine stall or rev future there is the leak ,could be a bad vacuum hose bad gasket upon the manifold.
