I have a 2004 ES330 with a hestitation problem. It is fine from a full end but with I go roughly speaking turns on onto highway ramps, when I pain the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds since reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon taking into consideration the similar engine and it jumps off the start and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights tilt on? Is the battery sufficiently charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively extra battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried thus far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for connections in the intake. following I put my Turbo OBDII app on, everything seems fine except that the TPS stays constant in this area 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model appropriately it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I understand the TPS is integrated past the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: whatever else you desire the mechanic to know past I be close to you? No, I guess that is it.
I did re-check them tho. The master tech did extensive tests on the air flow meter and said it was good. in the manner of I unplug it and rule the motor, the car runs prickly and at 850ish. I can lonely guess that my further rebuilt ecu has an issue, or the tps needs to be re-adjusted, or somehow my maf has died in the midst of every this. I don't think the tps has that much govern in the vary of rpm though? I think it lonely adjusts it almost 1k..
