Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super market car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge suffering that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After irritating 2-3 every second used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. urge on to the dealer.. this time he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common burden when this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all similar parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every mature I take on it attain the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are truly calculation up. I m of two minds to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started rudely after I got it home.Any new help you can find the money for is appreciated. I don't know what else to pull off but say yes it help to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman committed on it at the dealer, but I yet atmosphere its pushed to the assist as its outmoded and everyone loses in this situation.
This could be a large vacuum leak ,with the MAF united it is lonesome measuring the freshen that is getting similar to the MAF, in view of that if the intake manifold is sucking in freshen the freshen to fuel ratio will be categorically out and cause the engine to stall. If MAF is disconnected the engine goes into a limp measurement and lets the engine run. considering carb cleaner spray can vaporizer in the place of the hissing once the engine processing and taking into account you hear the engine stall or rev difficult there is the leak ,could be a bad vacuum hose bad gasket upon the manifold.
