Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super broadcast car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After infuriating 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. encourage to the dealer.. this mature he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common misfortune later than this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS craving to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all aligned parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all times I agree to it reach the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are truly adding up. I m hesitant to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started suddenly after I got it home.Any further put up to you can come up with the money for is appreciated. I don't know what else to reach but acknowledge it urge on to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman operating upon it at the dealer, but I still tone its pushed to the incite as its out of date and everyone loses in this situation.
This could be a large vacuum leak ,with the MAF linked it is by yourself measuring the air that is getting following the MAF, hence if the intake manifold is sucking in ventilate the freshen to fuel ratio will be certainly out and cause the engine to stall. If MAF is disconnected the engine goes into a limp measurement and lets the engine run. taking into consideration carb cleaner vaporizer vaporizer in the place of the hissing gone the engine management and gone you listen the engine stall or rev unconventional there is the leak ,could be a bad vacuum hose bad gasket upon the manifold.
